Turn a physical part into a file

A part exists but no usable file does. We measure and scan the object you have and produce a digital version of it — at whichever level of fidelity you actually need.

You pick the output, and the output decides the work: a print-ready file if you just want more of them, a mesh if something downstream needs geometry, an editable CAD model if the part has to be changed, documented, or manufactured properly.

Copies don't have to be exact. If the original broke because of how it was designed, we can fix that on the way through rather than reproducing the flaw.

Best fit

A part exists but no usable file does — the manufacturer's gone, the part's obsolete, or it was never made in the first place. Also fits if you just need the data and plan to take it somewhere else entirely; you don't need anything built by us to use this service.

How it works

  1. You describe each part

    One entry per part: what it is, whether you can send us the physical object, which output you need, and anything about it that has to change. Several parts can go on one request.

  2. We confirm the approach

    Within 2–3 business days, you get next steps back — including whether photos will be enough or the part needs to come to us.

  3. We measure and scan it

    The part is captured with a combination of 3D scanning and/or manual measurement. Scanning gets the shape. Calipers and gauges get the numbers that have to be right.

  4. We rebuild it to the output you chose

    Scan-to-print cleans the capture into something printable. Scan-to-mesh delivers usable geometry. Scan-to-CAD rebuilds the part as real, editable features — the slowest of the three, and the only one you can change afterward.

  5. We check it against the original

    The result gets measured back against the part to confirm the dimensions that matter landed where they should.

  6. Delivery

    You get the files back, and your part back too, if you sent one.
